RS MAY CLUB MEETING
Hi Guest: Our monthly RS meeting on Wed. May 1st will be held at the Rooney Sports Complex. Details and directions are here. Early start time: 7:00 pm. to take advantage of daylight. We'll be talking ColoYota Expo and Cruise Moab.

I've been eyeing the new sigma 150-600 5-6.3 sport (canon ef). So I found a place up in Boulder that rents it. I'll be saving some pennies to buy it in the next few months. There can't be a better mega zoom for the money. It's not a low light rig for sure. But if your not scared of iso 500-1400 it will not disappoint!
Strapped to my 70d it worked out to a zoom of 240-960. All of those were hand held. The IS is wicked good (2 options).
I have some tripod mounted stills that are tack sharp.

Well, you used it well. Were the ones you posted shot at high ISOs? Camera technology has advanced since my D200.

I would have to go back and look for exact numbers, but the were all shot above 640.
