some time ago, I was inquiring about using an old 110v compressor for all the parts to complete an on board air system.

I will post pics later tonight, but essentially, here is what I did.

I took my 12v tsunami compressor, and took one of these
94734.gif

and married them.

Interestingly enough, the tsunami fits in the same bracket like it was made for it. I was going to cut everything up and place where the spare used to be, but it would hang down to far, and then I would have to build a skid, then it would be a pain to access, etc etc

The tsunami doesn't like to go to 115, (it has a max of 120) but it will easily hit 100 in the tanks. Pretty quiet too.

This way, I can temporarilly latch down the compressor, and still have room for the dog and a fridge, and remove for daily use...

Got the compressor for like 90.00 on sale, minus 15%, Tsunami for 40.00, fittings were laying around. total investment 130.00!

Feel free to copy, this would be perfect in the back of a 40 imho...

Ok that's pretty cool. So how much storage is that? Enough to do one tire? will be interesting to see how much better it goes next time you air up..

Looks great, I have the same little compressor, $45 at Costco and a great write up on them. I saw a 5-10 gallon tank at a pawn shop a few weeks ago, was thinking of doing the same as you did sort of but since I have a 20# bottle of C02 I think I will hold of for now.

Hey John, that's the same compressor I hardmounted in the Chili. Durable little buggers. You might consider using two in parallel, however, and I bet you will be pleased with their ability to fill the 4 gal. tanks and keep up with most things. One by itself will be the little compressor that could, but it will only flow so much volume.

Looks like they might just fit side by side, too - maybe with a little extension on the floor.
