Can I use copper for heater lines?

Trying to one-up Corsair for silly question of the day... any adverse affects to using copper for heater lines?

Depends where? I would think the welds of the copper fittings might crack unless you plan on not wheeling it. Nothing to back that up though.

Would be inside the cab, isolated from any vibration, etc. Just curious if the antifreeze would react to the copper & contaminate anything... thanks!

Mixing metals can induce electrolysis. That said, you can probably get away with it. Esp. if you use compression fittings instead of soldered fittings.

The radiator is soldered brass/copper, right? I'd think it would work ok especially if the connections were heater hose clamped to the pipe to allow some flex. I just did a bunch of heater hose replacement on my 60 over the weekend. The 16mm pipes are steel with a galvanized-like coating on them. Maybe its a chromate conversion?
