A few pics from out deck. Not sure where Marco is on sugarloaf, but he must be pretty close.

Was splitting wood when I looked up and saw the plume around 1, not sure when it started. We're on sugarloaf, so a decent distance away. Plume looked real close so we put our go bags in the car and spent the afternoon trying to figure it out. Lots a dirt biking around to look at it. Wind blew the dirtbike over at one spot, I think there were close to 70mph gusts in Jamestown today.

So far looks like it blew east hard. thanks for the info here, it has been helpful.

Marco (or anyone) if you need help moving vehicles, or a place to put them let us know. I have space for a few trucks and room to put you guys up if need be.
Looks like it’s a fair distance from you now. Hopefully it stays that way.

Seems like the Boulder County EOC servers may be overwhelmed, fire perimeter is last available but evacuation perimeters won't display.

Stay safe Marco and everyone.

And WTF, I know it's windy but are you guys getting lightning or what's starting all these fires? There's a new one up in Grand County, too, right?

Yeah there are multiple new fires today, and cameron peak near me not only ran directly towards our location, but spotted near horsetooth.

Saw this one at Allenspark, gotta be nerve wracking for folks in the area and also in Estes as their egress is whittled down to pretty much just 36 right now.

Ward wasn’t closed at 6 tonight, but had to drop over Lee Hill to get down.

Wow. Hope all is ok for you guys and they hammer it down. If it establishes its going to be very difficult to access to put down. This has to be embers from Cal Wood fire, or Human initiated.

Saw yesterday posts from Greeley where there was fire debris the size of silver dollars landing in town simply due to the heat in the smoke plume and high winds.
