Baja Designs Group Buy: gauging interest

So...personally...I think Baja Designs are some of the best LED lights out there. they are small, light pattern and build quality are amazing...BUT wicked expensive. I have the Squadrons from like 7 years ago. I couldn't ask for more from what I wanted in a light.

I connected with a distributor who could offer anywhere from 10% to 23% discount on BD products for an RS group buy. I'm getting the price list information early next week. basically, it's a dollar volume discount, not a parts/piece quantity discount. so if we buy $X of product, then it's a 10% discount...at a higher dollar total the discount increases to up to 23%

if there's real interest, I'll spearhead this. the price break starts in the thousands. if ya'll want some baaaaaadaaaas LED lights or friggin' laser beams maybe now is the time.

Here's a start to that conversation.

I just picked up the s2 Pro Amber wide cornering lights to be my aux lights on the on the corners of my bumper. kinda like ditch lights, but not up on the hood. we'll see how they work. they are super small...like 2x3 and going to wiring them up today. I've had the Squadron's for a long time and absolutely love them. they are like 3x3 and incredible.

I'd like to replace my $60 20" light bar with a BD something in that size.

if you are into desert racing I guess the Laser lights are a big deal.

I am interested in a SAE approved fog pattern (so I do not blind oncoming traffic) I can install behind my 2006 and 2004 stock locations.

Do you think the S2 wide has sharp enough cutoff?

@Inukshuk I can't speak for the S2 but I have the Squadron SAE wide cornering fog in my ARB bumper and they are awesome! I've not been flashed once since installing them this last fall and I drive to and from work in the dark.

We need to get more interest going on this, can we change the thread title to " Group Buy - 23% off Baja Lights". If we do not get to the 23% threshold we just let everyone know how much more we need to buy. If that does not work, then we get a bunch of girl scouts to sell lights at the super markets.

I’ve got the LP9’s on my 80 and a set of squadron sports on the Impreza. Super happy with both.

Other than maybe some S2 reverse lights or a dome light I’m in good shape. Let me know if you hit the max discount.

Side note, I had to build some light mount extensions to move the LP9's out in front of the upper bar on the bumper. I believe the LP6 would probably fit the bumper without mods. That light was not available when I got mine. I'm confident that the LP6 and LP4 would provide plenty of light. These are almost stupid.

After a decently long night ride this evening I am thinking I need one of their LED upgrades for the dirt bike. I’d be interested if we had a decent discount I think it’s like a $400 light.
