success! I believe we had 26 trucks total. We met in a parking lot...

We picked up some trash, cleared a couple branches, discovered our favorite fence at Waldorf was once again in need of repair.

we fixed the fence.

Thank you to everyone for coming out, and being super cool all day. We really did a great job with that fence given the few constraints we were working with... and Patrick from CCRD is super stoked on our efforts. We'll do this again!

Thanks Tim for leading the effort, it was great time.,

It was fun and rewarding. Can't get that going to a Rockies game :)

I thought the coordinated effort of 3 trucks with winches to flip a wholesection of fence back upright in sync was spectacular and is a great topic for next years recovery class :)

And you looked pretty cool in that Hard Hat

Very well-led as usual! Thanks for putting it all together and executing to perfection, Tim!

@nakman is being humble, gang. He also received a pin seldom given to the public by our Forest Service ranger in recognition of his efforts. Congrats Tim!

We also successfully engaged in a search and rescue mission for a rare mudflap!

My power steering hose suffered catastrophic failure, and since I was with the good folks of Rising Sun, it was just another Saturday in Waldorf. HUGE thank you to @Inukshuk , @MountainGoat, Josh (I should know your handle but don't), newcomer James, and at LEAST one other person who all donated fluids and a 3/8 hose to make a permanent field repair. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Here's a couple shots from the day 😎

Great group and great weather, if a little warm. I'll take 75 and sunny over the sweltering city heat every time. Here are a few pictures that Jaeden took:

That looks like it was a great trip! Thanks for all the work! Wish I could have made it! I'll send Patrick a link to this thread so he can grab some pictures; would someone mind writing up a quick summary of what projects were done?

From Patrick:
Good morning, I just wanted to follow up and say thanks for sending such a large group this past weekend! Excited to hear what was done (I had to split to another VOL group Briefing). I saw that Tim dropped off the VOL hardhats, so I appreciate that. If I could get a little report and hopefully a few pictures from Saturday's workday that would be fantastic! Thanks again for all the hard work your group does every year!

Sorry @SaintAgatha and I couldn't make it for the work part of Saturday. But steam locomotives live on their own schedule and I had connecting rods to hang.

But it was awesome to see you guys at the campfire, and the next morning we went up to the Waldorf townsite and did some exploring with our Loaner Little Dude.

Just a beautiful day yesterday. We were pretty beat by the time we got home, but Donnie had a really good time camping out.

Glad @bh4rnnr didn't lose that precious mudflap!

Great to see L43DN out and about, especially on Argentine. Can’t remember the exact circumstances but Dean asked me to drive the 40 from Waldorf to the summit of Argentine Pass not long after he bought the truck. It walked it like a champ, of course. So happy you guys are exercising it the way it should be. ❤️

What an awesome day to be on Argentine!

@nakman Thanks as always for organizing this run! Sorry to miss the campout!

And for everyone that showed up, thanks for coming along and lending a hand. I got this trail adopted over 20 years ago back when I was event coordinator, and like 22 years old. So it means a lot to me to see you all there!

@Curly thanks for taking the time to find my mud flap!!

Only got a handful of pics, too busy enjoying the day I guess. Will post a few when I can.

good to see so many people still enjoying the trail cleanup days. what some may not realize is that it's a lot harder to shut down a trail that's been adopted because they know there will be a club fighting it with proof of the hours donated to keep it open. while i love living in the sticks in wyoming, i do miss these runs
