Thanks again
@VoodooBlue_Vixen for leading!
That fence is more fixed than ever.
Believe it or not, this was my first time ever on Argentine Pass Trail.

I was joined by
@The Rock FurRunner @wlucero &
@MarkEva.
It was beautiful as we headed up with the fall leaves. We took the lower trail with the camp sites & picked up a plethora of trash! I even picked up about 5' of exhaust with a muffler attached that was discarded up there. At one spot, we stopped and stood up a fiberglass forest service sign with rocks, that had been driven over. Then we stacked some logs around it to make it an obvious no passage.

Once we got to the fence, we broke out all of our tools & got to work.
@nakman & (please forgive me, I can't remember the other guys name) was working on the fence a little higher than us. Before they had to head out for Tim's daughter's homecoming.
It was A LOT of work on that fence today. The removal of one wrong screw, and three sections fell over.
We used Kristin's truck & some recovery gear to help us stand up the downed cross sections of the fence and screw in the cross beams.
We took a late lunch break around 2:30, and took that opportunity to recharge some of the Dewalt batteries. After a short break and a little time warming up in the trucks we got right back to it. Right as we were standing back up the last couple sections, it started to snow on us with a fierce wind.

We battled through, and as a team, we got the sections secured, and cross bars placed. As the snow got worse, we called it a day, and gathered all of our equipment.
The peaks above up couldn't be seen through the storm, and it was blowing sideways. Here's a pic of the fence as we left.

When I got in my truck, there was at least an inch of snow on my hoodie that I shook off.

We decided to take the high road out with the barrage of snow. But wouldn't you know it, shortly down the road, the sun decided to come back out.

Which made the drive down the mountain quite pretty with the snow and golden leaves. We got back to the trailhead right at about 5pm and aired up everyone's tires. I passed the exhaust on to Mark so it could get thrown out properly in a dumpster.
We said our goodbyes and all headed home!
@MountainGoat I'll be submitting an expense receipt from home depot to you from the purchase of the screws we needed for repairing the fence, for reimbursement please.
Thank you all for a wonderful day out on the trail!
Don’t forget to
log your volunteer hours! Keeping track of our time spent on the trail helps demonstrate our commitment to maintaining access and supports future funding for the ranger district.
