Americans must show ID to get into National Parks.

I did not look too much into it after hearing they had already returned them. My hope is that they were only voting on some weird local issues. I know some districts and towns will allow anyone to vote in local elections.

I did read that it wasn’t just the driver that would have to pay if not a US resident. All non-US pays like $100 each. It will definitely cut down on a % of traffic in these parks.

I don’t see it making a significant change in numbers. If you spend thousands to travel to the US an extra $100 to see Yellowstone is nothing. Like I said before, I just hope the money stays in the park system. It could be the best thing to happen to them after decades of defunding.

National Parks are for the enjoyment of US citizens. That's the purpose. They are not for bringing in foreign tourist cash, let Disney World do that.

By their nature, National Parks are more valuable with less visitors. We all know this. The more people that show up means more trash, more infrastructure, more damage to the natural landscape. I'd rather keep them for ourselves.
