I haven’t changed anything, it just stopped working.
Admittedly I’m not very tech-savvy.
Has something on the forum changed, or am I not finding a setting somewhere that needs to be changed...:dunno:

Did you try not using the "https" prefix?

I'm using macOS Mojave 10.14.6 and Safari 13.1 (the latest of both) so it should be working fine.

Are you running any anti-virus software? If so, try disabling it and see if that works. Also have you tried another browser like Firefox or Chrome?

If you aren't or it doesn't make any different try clearing your cache.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari -> Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click "Manage Website Data"
Click "Remove All"

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go -> Go to Folder
Type or copy paste "~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db"
Click Go then move the "Cache.db" file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari.

Another reason this can happen is if your computer time has drifted too far.

Check that you're syncing with a time server under System Preferences -> Date & Time. Make sure the "Set date and time automatically" is checked and is pointing to time.apple.com.

Try http in place of https... newer browser updates are generally making it harder to reach pages with lower site security settings.

I am running a mac with the same updates that you are, the latest, and can see everything just fine. Let me look at some of the background settings to see if there is anything else going on.

Something is clearly amiss, and I bet it's not your Mac. Even when I visit the forum via https (secure), I get a notice from Chrome that the site is not secure (see screenshot).

@Lars, did our SSL certificate expire? That's the first thing I would check.

@Hulk, I can't claim an expertise but I thought about that. The forum home page said the certificate was still valid. I'm still on Mojave (10.14), so if Travis happens to be running Catalina (10.15) maybe Apple changed the TLS rules or something. What macOS are you running?

Another thing I noticed are a few warnings in my Safari console log.

Code:

I assume that is why when I view this thread the connection is no longer secure.
