Very cool! How were the crowds? Been wanting to take the kiddo on a road trip out there.

Crowds were big. So, we found a campsite and hunkered down for the 4days we were in the park. Some of the best sights require some hiking. I was baffled by how many folks were on the main loops and how many of them refused to hike .5-2miles to see a beautiful feature.

Ever first come first serve site is taken by 9am so be prepared to be scouting at 6a.

Bring skeeter repellant and don't forget your circular polarizer like I did.

It's worth carving out the time for a trip, no matter how cliche it might seem. The colors, smells and animals are unique to any place I've ever been, especially at the number and concentration.

Thanks for the pics.

Great pics. We went last year (2014) and it rained a lot. Still was a great trip.
