what are the odds? I thought this looked familiar to a green 2wd Hilux I saw on FB but it is a different green 2wd Hilux :)

Crash is showing I think a 79-81 long bed. It's maybe a hodge-podge since it's got a 82-83 grill on it but double tailgate throws and outside hooks (81 and older, usually).

Timm's is 74-78. Love the pipe front bumper. Not tube. Pipe.

Cool trucks. The long bed will be 20R. Kinda hard to find parts. The older one probably, too, or could be 18R. Eek.

I had a 77 that was royal blue, beautiful patina. Got used on a couple photo shoots. It got stolen, was my daily driver. So I bought a canary yellow 80. 2 months later the blue one was recovered and full of garbage, they were doing hauling work and ran it out of gas. Good thing I never fixed the gauge! Sold them each for more than I paid. Both 20r, really dependable though mileage would only be 20 at best. I still think about the blue one a lot.

its definitely 79-81. the grill looks correct to me.
82-83 are different, at least for 4wd.
The beds are like that for 79-88 for 2wd trucks.
79-83 2wd and 4wd trucks had this bed.
i think this truck is 100% original

Trucks in 1982 got a tailgate had a center latch instead of one on each side. The double throws are awesome, wish all pickup beds had them. Great for preventing the sides from splaying out from WilderNest constant pushing. I also forgot, trucks got rectangular headlights in 1982. So the grill and bed on that correctly match.

not all... my friends dad had an 84-88 2wd when i was a kid with the latches. the center latch was an option (i think)
Maybe the latched gates where, base of the base models.
