Well after finally figuring out a decent way to mount this thing I finally got around to doing it. I went this route since for now everything it will be on will be a yakima. My opinion much stronger and won't slop side to side. The rivets holding the brackets on in the first pic are aluminum and there are only 12 total holding them on for the whole tent. Downside is it will take a little longer to put on. Hopefully test it out soon.

Very nice, My first mod after putting mine on was a bent center tube that came out of the triangle in the center by the hing, along with a nice dent in the roof

BTW I went Thule, I will need to see after next weekend if I should go your route with the extra mounts or not.
