1996 4runner end cap mod and arb bumper

Picked up this arb bumper for a taco from Ige.

My son has a 96 4runner we picked up last year.

So we learned about the end cap mod that needs done to mate this bumper to that truck and make it safer to winch.

We used 3/16" angle 2x3x4" ran it down the frame and rossette welded on side and face with a nut on the back to use for the bumper mounting. It turned out pretty cool. The welding wasn't awesome but I believe it to be strong enough. It was a good project to do together.

1. 2.5" old man emu lift
2. adjustable control arms
3. 265 75r16 BFG AT KO2's

next up will be removing those steps and some sliders..
there seems to be a lot of choices ...
any recommendations from the 4runner/mini crowd on sliders?

my 80 looks fat lol

Sorry, no recommendations on sliders. I'm not a fan of whats out there so I've build all of the ones for my truck.

I'm sure others will chime in.
