This is the official opening for Kingston peak for the season!

Scope of work: general trail clean up for the Clear Creek ranger district
when: Saturday, July 11th
Meet up at 9am at the USFS Work Center right by the Idaho Springs Ball fields
101 East idaho springs road
https://maps.app.goo.gl/jo98ix6zzApHQCpdA
Patrick Shaw with CCRD will meet and let everyone know what needs to be done

This is an official club event, so participation counts toward club membership and next year's All-Access program for current members.

Bring: Water, sunscreen, gloves, close toe shoes or boots, lunch

Why It Matters:
Keeping trails clean and well-maintained is key to preserving access for all of us. When we remove trash, repair fences, and maintain signage, we show land managers that we respect and care for these areas—helping ensure they stay open for future use! By maintaining the trail, we help keep it open for responsible use and ensure its sustainability for years to come.

Edit: I cannot attend, it's the wife's birthday weekend and we will be out of town. I am just setting this up as the club made an obligation to assist our friends in the Clear Creek ranger district

And I’ll be headed down to Pueblo to get an evacuation reentry card and try and see if I can get in past the national guard and see how the cabin did in the fire….. (and hopefully empty the fridge and freezers after almost 2 weeks of no power….eewwwwwwwww)

Thank you! The perimeter line has been holding since sat about 1/4-1/3 mile from our front door down there!! Talk about nerve wracking! I think we are in the clear. Just hope the fridge and freezers are salvageable and there’s not also smoke damage

Should work for me, see everyone there! Any tools or anything that'd be helpful to have in addition?

Edit: sorry, going to have to bail on today, hope it goes great!
