Saw this hundred in the 270/northfield area. Metal version max trax(?) and unique plates...I really wanted to see under the front given everything
Factory tire swing outs? French plates? Roof rack delete, etc. Bet that thing has a story!

No matter how shitty of a paint job it is, I'd absolutely take that offer.
A friend in high school got his '69 Satellite painted at an Earl Scheib (it was $89.99 by then as I recall). Despite the claim there was actually an extra upcharge in that, no joke, for the cheap paint job anything that's not masked will be painted. So you either do that in the parking lot or you paid them to do it. Same with the body work. They would just paint whatever was in front of them, no fixin' or sandin' anything, no primer, no degreasing.

However with that caveat the paint they did spray was fine, a semi-glossy dark green factory Plymouth color. Just plain two-coats of lacquer, nothing fancy. Perfect for a 17 year old kid building a sleeper. That was the coolest shit car. A 318 that purred smoking skinny station wagon tires he got free from his dad.

yep, silver right over the two coats of purple! I'm thinking it may be time to do it again! Paint actually looked pretty good for quite a while!

I knew McGuckins was the go to hardware store for items hard to find, but I didn't realize they carried Flux capacitors...

Saw a camper conversion HZJ78 with Swiss license plates in Wheat Ridge today at 44th & Ward. I was too dumbfounded to get a photo, but there was a website on the side of the camper that led me HERE.

Here’s a photo of the truck stolen from the website. One of the coolest Land Cruisers I’ve ever seen.

I was waiting on the red light and they were rounding the corner. We shared a wave, but I wish I had gotten the chance to chat with the owners.

That’s a very cool rig! Similar to a maltec conversion.

Spotted them Sunday afternoon in Westminster, pulling on to 96th from Alkire heading towards Simms. They definitely caught me off guard With the ‘what did I just see?’

Pretty sweet rig that’s for sure!

Telluride. I love the 1980s cast alum. aftermarket wheels.
I can't say they were factory wheels but they were at least Toyota dealer or distributor installed wheels. I had them on my 82 hilux new from the dealer..

They could have been factory. Look at the rear wheel center caps that look like aisin hubs. I forgot about that.

They said they're camping at Standley Lake while they await brake parts from Germany, so that makes sense that you saw them up that way. They're looking for some help with installation - I may reach out to some of the non-US spec Cruiser gurus here to see if we can lend a hand or at least get shop recommendations.

Are the drum or disk? I'd be willing to give a hand. I'm not good at drum brakes though. If doing drum, I'd have to make my dad come help ha
