I realize that this would be considered a "fluff" post, but I am in need of a new Cruise Moab baseball hat. The one I have from 2012 is a little thread bare. Is there anyone I can reach out to that might have a line on one?

Hi Jon, long time no see! As you might imagine, all CM merchandise is limited edition, once it's gone it is gone. However we have a trailer full of overstock shirts and stuff that we try to unload at our annual Rally each year, and it includes some hats. The trailer goes into storage at the property of one of our member's homes in between CMs and Rallys and is kind of difficult to go through looking for one particular item (goodness knows I've BTDT). With the whole COVID business I don't know if we'll even try to have a Rally this summer. But if you're patient, we might be able to hook you up eventually.
was it a boonie hat or regular ball cap? i might have a boonie, not sure of the year, i never used...

Let me know if you come across a nice baseball cap. Would love one from 2012, but that ship has probably sailed.

I did look through my own collection of Cruise Moab hats, and unfortunately I don't have a 2012 hat. That was the year I blew my head gasket on the way to the event and was there cruiserless.
Wait, is this "THE" Jon Held from famous ih8mud lore? If it is, your 3fe knowledge has been invaluable to me over the last 4 or 5 years! You can post as many "fluff" posts as you want as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for stopping by!

Yeah that's him. He's got a super-built FJ80 (NOT FZJ80). He and several of his Gotham City brethren came out I think 2 years in a row?

Yea, that's me. My FJ80 was sold to one of our club members a few years ago. Still the best running 3FE on the planet. I found an LX450 in Phoenix a few years back, and that's my truck now. I drove out to CM with the Gotham guys in 2011, 2012, and 2017. Last time with the 450, and dragged it through Pritchett. Significantly more difficult than in 2012, but she's so pretty.

I thought your white FJ80 was pretty. I rode shotgun with you IIRC at some point. I remember chatting with you about the mighty 3FE going over the passes.
@jonheld - we have a few CM baseball hats for sale on the Cruise Moab store. We'll probably keep the store open for another week until it goes back into hibernation.

I’d like to pickup a CM hat as well. When do you expect the store to open again?
It won't open again until after this year's Cruise Moab at the earliest. We sold most of our excess inventory and our plan is to do minimal merchandise for this year's event.
