Geneva was graded a few years back, you do not really need 4x4 except perhap on the last 1/4 mile with a steep grade. As a result it is very "peopled" these days.

Saints John is an excellent trail with amazing vistas and is a bit more challenging.

Working that day, sadly.

The west look out is great, keep right & go up as you head to the far west basin with the old cabins & water crossing.

So my first idea was Geneva Creek but with all the leaf peepers at Georgetown I don't think that's a great idea. Another idea was Argentine which again would be bad with the leave peepers. but what I'd like to do is add a couple other trails to something we did a few years ago which is go up to rollinsville and there's a trail we can take down to a little bit of Rollins pass and then Apex and then lunch at the reservoir and then there's a couple other Trails we can take and maybe even do a little more exploring and make it a nice long day but also plenty of opportunities for people to break off and leave whenever they want. I'll post up more tomorrow on details and meeting places :-) can't wait!

In town meetup: Starbucks in golden on 93 a mile or so south of Slee. Meet at 830, wheels up at 9. We will take golden gate canyon road up to Rollinsville.

Mountain meetup: coffee shop in Rollinsville at 10. The town group will head up and be there before 10.

Head up to west magnolia from Rollinsville and come down to Rollins pass. Prob just do a little of Rollins pass (unless everyone wants to just do the pass instead? It's just very rocky and bumpy, especially in a 40!) Then take Apex up to the reservoir, then after lunch anyone can take off, or join the rest of us while we check out Nevadaville Loop and oh my god road and Russell Gulch. This route ends up at Idaho springs basically.

Who is in? And where are you meeting us?

Then take Apex up to the reservoir

Timm - what is 'Apex' and which reservoir?

Thanks - Steve

Apex is a trail that connects Rollins pass to a ton of other trails, and to the little General Chase Gulch Reservoir.

All easy dirt roads with great leef peeping views. The first section of Apex is rough but just rocks, no obstacles. There are plenty of side roads with tougher stuff if anyone wants to do anything harder.
