Kingston Peak - July 17! Official Club Run

Kingston Peak Trail clean up and run is here! Hey all sorry for the late post, it wasn't clear who was leading this as I haven't been there yet. Sunday we will be meeting with the Clear Creek Ranger District at their office in Idaho Springs at 0830, do the usual meet and greet, required paper work, waivers Ect. and plan to convoy to the Alice trail head where we will air down and head up. Sounds like mostly trash clean up and simple stuff like that, not much need in power tools yet. The plan is to open the gate and head over to the Boulder side, somewhere along the way we will meet up with the Boulder Ranger District ranger Joel. FYI- we are considering adopting the Boulder side as it has become available and makes sense. It should be a great day to do some giving back to the trails we love and enjoying our wonderful community we all share!

PS. Supposedly there's good camping on the Boulder side if ya want to stay over Saturday night.

Well I carry some trash bags anyways, like oil spill kinda stuff, but the Rangers should provide some and I don't know how much trash there will be.

I’m in. I went to drive like a girl last week and had a blast. Excited for my second run. I’d love to camp as well, what are folks planning for that?

We're thinking about finding a spot around Fall river reservoir and/or Chinns lake. We'll be meeting up with the main group at the start of the trail head.
