San Rafael swell because we haven't been there yet, spring creek because it is one of my favourite local trails and I haven't done it in a while, the snowy range in Wyoming is awesome (maybe as a grill n chill @Inukshuk ?), more Drive like a girl! days as a regular event series, more regular trips to our adopted trails, obviously Cruise Moab and hopefully moab again in the fall

Several plans for Drive Like a Girl Day. At least one ladies only camping trip, multiple days over multiple trails. I am most excited for this one. Recovery training, multiple day trips, Drive Like a Girl Day:Moab for cruise Moab and in the fall. Also begginer friendly to a little more advanced. We want to see all the ladies this summer.

I'm thinking a Sand Hollow trip in the fall would be sweet!

Plan on going to the Black Hills rally again this year, went last year. Very nice event. Rising Sun used to have a group go up every year, to help support our neighbors. Traveling the west camping, towing the LJ70 and exploring the Snowy Range, Big Horn mountains, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, etc.
Big horns were a hidden gem. Not much wheeling but very pretty, diverse terrain, and when you tell someone about it they look at you and say “where?”

I would be down for snowy range depending on when. Swell as well. Besides my first cruise Moab this spring I only really have family camping trips planned. Staying a week over the 4th of July at steamboat lake and planning to explore the area to the north of there a bit more.

What's everyone's plans??
Any events you plan to hit?

I plan to go to the Black Hills Cruiser Classic. Anyone else interested in hitting this event??

I also hope to hit the Solid Axle Summit in August (dates not announced yet).

Other plans are multiple day trips and camping/wheeling trips as often as possible.
Black Hills Cruiser Classic is an amazing event! I've gone to the last two official events. Once in the 81 and last year in the 71. Great group of people, great event. Last year I thought I was going to be the only 70, but there ended up being 3.

I'm probably not going to make it this year to do conflicting trips.

I'm thinking of heading to the Lonestar Toyota Jamboree in April/May.
This is also a great event! Very few Cruiser and a lot of FJC and 4runners! I've gone 3 years in a row when I was kicking it in TX. Definitely a ton of sponsors that show up and their raffle was insane.

The black hills cruiser classic will be held July 14,15 and 16th for 2022 for those that want to attend! Registration opens typically in April. Come on up! It’s been awhile since we have seen any Rising Sun members! Is Kevin aka Uncle Ben still active?
Psh I've gone the last few years!

Brian! Did you ever get the surging figured out on your 70?

Few pictures from BHCC last year
Cheers,
Angelo

*If* I can actually get time off work and *if* my truck is not broken I'd just like to go on one single trail which would be a 100% increase over what I was able to do last year.

Well, CM and a Quray week for sure. Planning to skirt CO/ NM border from Trinidad to four corners area (FSR’s) Bears Ears, Paria River to check out ancient Indian history and scenery more as Overlanding trip a 2-3 week thing. Would love to hit The Doll house, Elephant hill but won’t do it by myself. Why, cause I can 😜. My annual trip to La Jara reservoir with Mom and Doggie a given.

We did Canyons of the Ancients and Hovenweep last summer. We didn't see a soul for 2 full days in CotA and there were plenty of easy little BLM roads to camp off of. Ssssshhhhhh don't tell anybody.

I would like to get back up to Lake Como as I have some peaks left to climb in that area.

If anyone from the club is interested it would be a cool weekend with a combination of hiking and wheeling. Blanca and Ellingwood are more difficult hikes but do not require any specialized gear or experience. Little Bear is a little more spicy.

Amber and were also toying with the idea of leading a multi pass trip taking a route we have done before, probably as a 3 day weekend. The general idea is a big 4 pass loop starting in Alma. Mosquito into Leadville, then Hagerman over to Rudai / Basalt. Quick trip up the valley to Aspen for Pearl to CB and then Taylor back to Aspen and head home to Denver via Independence.

I want to run Schofield Pass from Marble to Crested Butte this summer with the family. And tack on camping in Lead King basin.

Also, has anyone ever done the Morrison Jeep trail? I’d love to join up with folks to do that. It’s a bucket list for me.

I did Elephant hill last March by myself. ( with wife and kids ). It was my absolute favorite trip ever, and camped 2 nights at Devils Kitchen.

You should know that you will not be alone. We had lots of help and spotting the whole way. In fact, I got my rear diff high centered and before I could even come up with a plan, I had at least 5 other people helping.
