One of my biggest beefs with Husqvarna is their crappy parts network and chain-store sales. Husqvarna corporate actually referred me to a 3rd party site when I asked them a pointed question about part numbers and parts confusion. Nothing like Toyota!
My brother has an 1990s-era Stihl 044 he doesn't use much and will loan me (it's a beast), so I may glom onto that while I tinker with my Husqvarna and see if I can't bring it back to full readiness. If that doesn't work, I will likely go to a new Stihl of some sort.
