Everybody! I've decided to finally announce the availability of my fresh roasted coffee to the public. And when I say fresh roasted, I mean it. We ship the same day that it's roasted. In collaboration with my family, I created Deep Canyon Coffee in the spirit of adventure and it's exclusively available on my website www.pakkuroba.com
You'll be hard pressed to find a better tasting coffee. I promise. No gimmicks or fancy adds, just quality.
In addition to my coffee I'll give you all a heads up that the official launch of my company Pakku Roba is coming soon. I've got a line of handmade, rugged duffels in production and I'm offering shop services including driveline re-gearing, suspensions, and accessory installation. Check out the website to see more or message me for details.

I have been drinking Mike's coffee since I saw him brewing it at Cruise Moab ages ago, been buying it direct from him on occasion, and recently bought a pre-public 5 bag sampler pack. Its delicious. You taste the coffee, not just the roast (I.E. not burnt Starbucks). I will be a regular customer.

Awesome dude!

Mike knows his coffee, I've tried it, it really is second to none other IMO.

It's on the bold side of the spectrum retaining a nice sweetness. Peruvian is my current favorite, but I'm a single origin kinda guy.

A little teaser of the duffels. These are my prototypes while the line is in production. Handcrafted right here in Montrose. They'll be available soon. Designed to tie down to universal anchor points and tie together while always allowing unrestricted access into the uppermost bag without having to undo the straps. Ready to carry any gear you've got. The Tan bags pictured are the "recovery" model, which has a few less refinements compared to the Olive Drab travel bags.

Hate to be the downer dude here, but.....after reading all the good stuff here from club members and wanting to support a local (Colorado) business, I decided to order some Espresso Blend. Its a bit pricey once you add in the shipping charge, but what the heck....I like to support this community. Well, I ordered the coffee last weekend, thinking maybe it would go out on Monday as a freshly roasted batch (as the website says its fresh roasted sent out that day). Anyway, its now Friday evening.......and still no coffee delivered. I tracked the package and for the last 2 days, the tracking says, "out for delivery". Also, the tracking shows the package originating in Virginia...WTH? I thought this company was located in Colorado (Montrose)?. I'm actually not upset......just confused, and a bit disappointed that my coffee still has not arrived. Don't know how "fresh" it will be when it eventually arrives, but we shall see. Maybe my experience is just a one off, so I will stay positive until this saga comes to a conclusion (I receive and taste my coffee). Hopefully that will be soon. They say anticipation makes things all the better.....so looking forward to some good coffee. I'll update once I try the coffee.

His father roasts it in small batches. Swing by Sloan's Lake this weekend and I'll brew us a cup. The upsite to disappointment means you were looking forward to something. :)

BTW, all USP and USPS shipping is a shitshow right now.

I apologize for any delays or confusion regarding your order. To clarify where the coffee comes from, my family in North Carolina has been roasting for almost 25 years and I coordinated with them to supply a brand of coffee that I could add to my business. Partly because in all of my travels I could never match what they produce. In time I'll be setting up a roaster here in Colorado but we have to get established first. So as far as the coffee, you're supporting my family, which is connected to me, so you're still in a roundabout way supporting my Colorado business. The shipping thing has been a thorn in my side since I started doing this. It's become unpredictable lately. Sometimes it arrives in two or three days, then an outlier takes a week. But don't worry, I'll make sure you're taken care of. The general rule of thumb about freshness is that coffee retains full freshness in whole bean form for 2 weeks, then you should try to use it up within a month. After a month is when the flavor really starts to change. Pricing, if you check around at premium coffees online, is at the lower than the median. But I can only compare to coffee companies that parallel my family's. The larger quantities I offer also have better price points compared to the 12oz single portion. I promise you'll notice the difference in quality when your coffee arrives.
PM me your t-shirt size.

Thanks for your most considerate reply. I should tell you that the coffee arrived this evening and we are planning to brew it tomorrow morning.
As I said, I am not upset, it was mainly confusion that the package was coming from the east coast, so thank you for explaining that. No need to to send me a t-shirt size gratis......but since you mentioned it.....I think I'll order one for myself and my wife from your website. We are both (quality) coffee lovers and are looking forward to trying your blend in the morning. Cheers!

Follow up post. So I had your coffee (Espresso Blend) for the past 2 mornings......and I have to say, all previous comments on this forum about your coffee are spot on. It is truly a quality coffee and the wife and I are both fans. Really enjoy it. I can be added to the list of those here who would recommend this whole heartedly!

Just re-ordered.
Also saw duffel samples Monday. I'll be adding one to my kit when available.
