I will lead our (usually annual) Father's day run this year up Barbour Fork Trail. It is a 6.4 mile long loop trail, the trailhead is close to town, just south of Idaho Springs. This is a fairly easy trail that any stock Toyota 4x4 should be able to do. I contacted Clear Creek Ranger District and the seasonal gate is supposed to open on June 15th.

We will meet at the El Rancho McDonald's at 8:30AM and depart for the trailhead by 9:00AM. Bring lunch, bring warm clothing, bring your kids, bring you dad. Since the gate is only going to open a few days before our run I won't have time to prerun it, but in years past snow hasn't been a huge issue. The top of the loop is pretty close to Colo 103, not quite timberline, however is is north facing and shaded so there may still be some snow.

CB channel 4.

Awesome, thanks for keeping the tradition alive Jeff. It's on my calendar!

Can you confirm that the meet up is here: 902 Swede Gulch Rd, Golden, CO 80401, USA
Or correct me if that's not the one.

Thanks!

Yeah Swede Gulch Road, Exit 253 on I-70. The sign will say Evergreen Parkway (Highway 74 to us locals) get off the highway on the right and go left on the flyover to the McDonalds parking lot next to the Walmart. I like that meet up spot because I like the number 1 Egg McMuffin breakfast meal to fuel me up for a run. (couldn't find an emoji for an Egg McMuffin)

I’m planning on it as a Father’s Day gift to myself.

Hey all, don't forget to log your hours from today. Time starts from he time you left your house till the time you returned, multiplied by how many people in your group.
