I wanted to gauge interest on getting a small group together to run Chinaman in BV. It's been quite a few years since I've run it. Shooting for sometime in March and am flexible on dates. Anyone else?

If you are not familiar with this trail I would say you would need at least 35" tires and a rear locker. Thanks:beer::moto:

I've been planning to setup this run also. Thanks for posting up Jason. Just don't want snow and ice on the trail if possible so we can take the fun lines. o_O I know Brady and Old40Dog would be interested. I would offer up Sat. March 27th?

I’d be down if my LC is ready. Need to revamp the cooling system and need to do new rear control arms, along w/ a longer list of stuff that can happen a little later.
I could always bring the 3Rd gen if need be....

I'll go if the plow is off the cruiser, or my new build is running by then.

I'd be interested if I can figure out this weird stumble I'm getting at WOT
Crack on the rubber intake?

I'm open on dates, so if anyone has certain days that work for them please just toss them out for the group to chew on.

Looks like we're locking in Saturday the 27th pending any large snowstorms to hit that area. The weather pattern typically shifts in the spring and though they don't usually get much snow in the Buena Vista valley if it's much more than a dusting the trail is extremely difficult and not much fun in my experience.

Interested, if snow/ice is cleared. March seems early, but I haven’t run it in the spring.

Would bring the 80 (narrower), as there are a couple obstacles that are pretty tight, IIRC.

Actually better check it’s open. Sometimes they close the entrance road in the spring for mud/rut formation.

Hum, I have never seen this trail gated before. We should probably look into this. Plus ice on the norther slopes could be no fun in march.

Never seen it gated. There is a gate but you can always open it, I know several who have run it and carnage in the snow.

Ran it with a friend March 16th last year (wont forget the date), some snowy and icy spots in the shaded areas. But mostly mud, there was no gate closures. Believe it is open and accessible year around.

It’s been gated and locked before. Pretty dry so far so probably fine, but worth a call
