I would also be interested in running coney flats, middle st vrain and the t-33 site.

I have a run set up for August 8th at 0900. I have already added it to the club calendar.

That's pretty far out to commit for me as my work schedule is very dynamic. But if I can make this I have no issue with bringing up the rear! I should have my cb installed by then and also monitoring hamm (want to have my license before summer) so I will have all communications locked down. Also semi fluent in ASL so anyone without radios can just sign!

@bh4rnnr I'd like to do a "4 wheelin and float" trip where we go run trails and camp around Steamboat (or Kremling) and then float on the Yampa with rental inner tubes. I think this would be super fun and family friendly.

I'd like to run, maybe lead Barbour Fork again. I've run it twice, first time by accident, second time leading our annual Father's Day run a couple years ago. I'd like to learn the trail better. I know Spring Creek, Slaughterhouse Gulch and Bill Moore Lake inside and out. I used to lead our annual Father's day run on Spring Creek for a couple decades, but the trail has become too rough for stockers. I really like trails that aren't too much of a drive to the trailhead from the Denver area. I'd like to learn Argentine Pass, Kingston Peak and Jenny Creek, our 3 adopted trails. I have run each of them once, but am not familiar enough to lead them. I'd like to become familiar enough to lead them.
I'm very interested in hitting up our adopted trails this year. Unfortunately, I have a crazy travel schedule and the cleanup dates didn't work last year. I'll be paying close attention to scheduling for these runs. Also Red Cone. Been dying to check it out! T-33, Slaughterhouse etc. are important as well - especially for recruiting. How many new guys have come into the club by attending one of these runs first?

I'm up in northern Wyoming and the Morrison Jeep Trail is about 30 mins from my door. I've been up and over it several times (once on a motorcycle and twice in Land Cruisers). If anyone ever ventures up this way and wants to run it, let me know. I'd be happy to guide it or just tag along as a support rig. That trail probably won't open until July 15th (maybe later depending on snow up top). If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM and we can discuss.

I was looking for some good runs up in Steamboat last summer and didn't see much. What do you like to run up there? Anything that's good for an off-road trailer and camping along the way?

My brother an I ran it solo a bit ago and it was a lot of fun. We did it in half a day, doing it in a whole day or two might be more fun. I would love to take a group up there. No idea when we could make it happen tho. Having you there would be awesome.

@2wheelbob I had the Morrison Jeep Trail on my list for around 4th of July 2020. I'm sure we can make something happen. I would love to do this and do one or two nights of camping as part of it. Thoughts? ...calling @Stuckinthe80s ...

I'm not sure the trail will be open on the 4th. The actual switchback climb out of the canyon might be open but the trail goes up to the "Top of the World" road and they usually open the gate on July 15th. There are some great place up top to camp and fish. If July 4th is the only time you have, we can explore other trails in the area around Cody. The Mc Cullough Peaks area has wild horses and there is always the Big Horn Mountains to the east.

I don't think I'd want to do those switchbacks in snow, but I would love getting back up there.

I did not know about it only opening around 15 July. Later in the year is fine with me. How about 15-16 August 2020? I've added it to the RS calendar as "Tentative."

Those dates are good. The nights will be cool and the days warm. The snow will be gone and the trails should be dry. As time gets closer, we can firm the trip up. :)

Yeah, the switchbacks are challenging enough when dry. I think snow would multiply the 'pucker factor' by at least ten fold!! On a side note - There is a working ranch at the top of the switchbacks. They use four wheelers to come and go during the year. They leave their trucks where the pavement ends for safety.

I would like to lead a kelly flats trip but am needing some input on dates. I was thinking about 8-15 but dont want to clash with morrison trail run. I want to avoid 4th of july due to crowds and july 12 is too close to the ghost town run. Might have to be September...?

@DomOfTheDead 15 Aug 2020 for Kelly Flats is fine. We have something every weekend in August and it's okay to double up. Also, the Morrison run will likely be a joint deal with Wasatch Cruisers so the 8 remaining slots (10 total) will be split between the two clubs. Therefore not a lot of people can go on the Morrison in August 2020.

Shall I add your Kelly Flats run to the RS Calendar on 15 Aug 2020?
