Let's meet at the cemetery west of Central City at 9am and leave by 9:30am - the normal spot.

For people who have not been there, we meet at a large parking lot near several cemetery's. This is located about a mile or so west of the town of Central City on the road heading up and west out of town. Most of us take the new Central City highway into Central City from I-70.

We will see how far we can get. Expect to run into large snow drifts. Make sure you have tow points so you can be strapped out. This time of year the the road going up will be patchy - so we usually don't chain up in the main meeting spot since there will probably be long sections of dirt road before we get up and into the deep stuff.

Channel 4 for us traditional CB guys.

I think that group shot is from the Jan. 06 run. I'll be up there, not sure if I want to take the Brahma out on the trails just quite yet.

Scott,

Have you got the name of the road that goes west out of central city, where the cemetary is, where we're meeting on sunday. I've never been thru there.

Not sure of the Hwy.#. From downtown Central City, there are only 3 options.
1. Down to Black Hawk 2. South to I70 on the Central City Hwy. and 3. West of town to the cemetarys. If your coming from Black Hawk you continue straight and up west out of town without turning. From I70, you would trun left at like the second or 3rd stop sign.

I'm in. I might be winchless. (working on truck right now.) I might have a couple of Jeeps with me. 1 is a Rubicon. Not sure on the other. I also might have a 3 week old FJCruiser talked into this. ;)

Loren: I'm the "Poster Child" for GPS, but, I THINK that off of highway 119, it is LEFT on Gregory Road. This turns into a 1 way uphill road called Lawrence Street. This turns into Eureka Street, which is also CR-3. You'll see the trucks on your left at the top of the hill. Keep an eye out for "Columbine Campground" signs.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong! (Bob?)

Sorry but I'm skipping this one. Got projects to do arround the house, and going to see Spearhead at Copper today. It doesn't look to have much less snow than at snow and Pizza. While it was fun to see everyone, I can only do so many donuts in the parking lot. If I were locked both ends and running muds it might be another story. See eveyone in a couple weeks in Moab.

If anybody needs a convoy up from Denver/Golden, I'll be going up Hwy 6/Clear Creek Canyon. If somebody needs it I'll swing by Christo's Slee's Place at 8:30 and we could convoy. If you're not there at 8:30 you'll have to figure it out on your own. Slee's is located on the west side of Hwy 93 just on the north side of Golden, it's pretty much the next turn north of the turn for Golden Gate Canyon.

How was Spearhead? Haven't seen them in about 6 years. Did you ski prior to the show? The snow at Copper was epic on Sunday and Tuesday.
