Default Birds

Took my friend Jasper out hunting for her first time. Shes a ringer. Its a lot of fun watching her do her thing. She needs a little work, but she did awesome.

Very cool! It really is amazing to watch pointers in action.

Were the birds holding at all in this nice weather?

No it was 80. There is lots of cover still. They were running. The dog would keep them in an area so you could get close. Heading out again thursday the 14 around 3:30am.

That's awesome, we had a "Jasper" once, he was a black lab, never hunted worth a damn though, glad yours does!

Great to see a "city" dog working! So often upland hunting with soft pawed dogs is a determent. When I went on opening day it was almost hysterical watching high dollar dogs locking up with paws full of goatheads and sandburs. Nothing better than a good working dog, and nothing more frustrating than a poorly trained or soft pawed dog. I'm going to try to sneak off sometime next week to replenish the bird bank in the freezer.
