Complicated question, but as they would cross state lines my understanding is no.

Why is it complicated?

I always assumed one could mail themselves a gun, but I just checked and it looks like it is actually the case. I mean it seems logical anyhow.

6. May I lawfully ship a firearm to myself in a different State?
Any person may ship a firearm to himself or herself in the care of another person in the State where
he or she intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. The package should be addressed to
the owner “in the care of” the out-of-State resident. Upon reaching its destination, persons other than
the owner must not open the package or take possession of the firearm.

It's becomes complicated if technically he doesn't own them. IT's a gift or inner family transfer. That can happen if both reside in the same state rather simply. Because they live in separate states it becomes more complicated. Who knows maybe they are really Tim's and his dad has stored them all these years and moved to Az with them.

I ended up leaving them there... my mom got a storage place, when I'm back down at Christmas I will snag 'em then just drive back with them.

Not exactly an arsenal... there's a .22 rifle and my dad's BB gun- a Daisy Red Rider, just like the movie. I was thinking that could be worth something, but then did a quick search and looks like they can be had all day for $30. so maybe we'll just put some BB's through it.
